About Kevin's Native Landscaping

Kevin, the founder and owner of Kevin's Native Landscaping, began his journey into land stewardship in his early twenties while working for a holistic landscaping company. It was during this first job that he fell in love with plants and the natural world. This passion deepened when he joined an organic farm, where he expanded his hands-on skills, knowledge, and respect for ecological systems.

Eager to deepen his understanding, Kevin earned his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) from the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center (OAEC) and became a licensed landscape contractor through the California State License Board (CSLB).

Over time, Kevin developed a deep appreciation for California's diverse ecosystems and the native plants that support them. Inspired to bring this beauty and ecological value into people's homes, he launched Kevin’s Native Landscaping — a business dedicated to designing and installing landscapes rooted in California native plants.

Why natives? Native plants require fewer resources to plant and maintain. Once established, they thrive with minimal water, no fertilizer, and little maintenance. Most importantly, planting natives helps restore California’s lost biodiversity, supporting pollinators, wildlife, and healthy soil.
